Maintenance Man’s Sideline

yellow and black handle hammer and screw driver

As John, the maintenance man, prepares To pursue his new sideline as a barber The customers gape in horror, can’t believe their eyes Upon seeing the tools he is arranging

He lays out all his tools in order of use Retracting tape for measuring length Tin snips and craft knives for cutting Blow torch for stray hair on the neck

There is a weed whacker for the wind  blown look And a leaf blower to pile up the shorn hair Also a shop vac to suck the mess out of sight The customers can only sit and stare.

John is prepared for his first customer He discovers they have all run away in fright And decides he’d better stay with his mainten- ance job Because he knows what he’s doing and people run to him with problems.
